    Dental Assistant

    As a Dental Assistant, you will have the satisfaction of helping numerous patients improve their smile and their dental health.

    Dental Assistants play a key role in the smooth functioning of a dental office by performing many tasks to support Dentists and Hygienists. You may prepare patients for cleanings or procedures; provide suction or other assistance for procedures; sterilize equipment; and maintain patient records.

    At The College of Health Care Professions, you will receive high-quality dental assistant training from experienced faculty. A combination of lectures, labs, and hands-on experience will prepare you to move confidently from the classroom to your first day on the job.



    Medical Assistant

    When you choose to start your training to become a certified medical assistant with The College of Health Care Professions, you will receive a quality education that prepares you for your medical assistant career. Medical Assistants help doctors and patients in different health care settings, including medical offices, and in specialties like Sports Medicine, Pediatrics and OB/GYN.

    Medical Assisting jobs are expected to grow 29% from 2012 to 2022, much faster than the average for other occupations according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics*. With your Medical Assistant training from CHCP, you will quickly be on your way to becoming a vital part of a medical team with excellent opportunities for advancement.

    Begin your healthcare career path with CHCP’s Medical Coding and Billing training today!

    Designed Program Length: 35 Weeks

    If you’re looking for a healthcare career that provides you with independence and is mentally stimulating, a medical coding and billing career may be right for you! When you choose to get your medical coding and billing training from CHCP, you will be poised to join motivated healthcare teams at hospitals, nursing facilities, physician’s offices and many more locations.

    When you get your MCB-HIT training from CHCP, you attend an externship site, where you will receive hands-on administrative training in the coding and billing of medical records and managing that health information for health care professionals and patients. Students will also learn necessary competencies required to take an entry level certification exam in coding and medical records. After you graduate, you will be qualified to collect and organize medical information and data from patients, physicians, and other health care providers.

    Graduates of CHCP’s Medical Coding and Billing program can work as medical billers, medical coders, medical records technicians and health information technicians. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment of medical records and health information technicians is expected to increase by 22% from 2012 to 2022.* With a career as a MCB-HIT professional, you will be responsible for completing medical billing forms, filing medical insurance claims, both manually and by automation, practical application of CPT-4, ICD-9/10 and HCPCS codes as well as record-keeping practices for both the hospital and physician’s offices, procedures in content and filing of patient medical records, and use of a variety of filing systems
